I believe music is a powerful connector — to ourselves and to others. Through teaching, I hope to help students build good practice habits and confidence in themselves.

I believe students learn best when they approach learning with an open mindset and a willingness to be patient with themselves. Mistakes are not roadblocks but opportunities where growth and understanding take root. I encourage my students to work in small, manageable chunks, to develop habits of mindful repetition. Together, we can create personalized exercises to isolate technical challenges, making practice both focused and creative.

My role is to serve as a mentor who listens and responds to each student’s unique needs and goals. Whether a student is preparing for auditions, joining band for the first time, or simply wants to enjoy playing music, I tailor my teaching to support their path. I emphasize fundamentals as tools that empower students to express themselves. My wish is for each student to develop the curiosity, awareness, and confidence to learn independently.
